We invite you to join Canto do Jatobá to get to know the art of Capoeira, where we create space to go beyond movement – a space to find a language of freedom, to reclaim your agency, and to undo the rules that ask us to shrink.
Through Ginga, Jogo, rhythm, and connection, we honour the bodies that History tried to silence, and we invite everyone to be fully seen. Through a feminist and anti-patriarchal lens, Canto do Jatobá is also a FLINTA-led movement, where the negotiation of power does not come as domination over others, but as a connection with one’s own body and presence; it is a practice of breaking internalized hierarchies and celebrating our existences. Bring your curiosity: together, we will move, resist, celebrate, and carry the energy of the Roda (=Circle) beyond this weekend.
